Annual Collogue Report
The 2012 Annual Collogue of the LBPS proved to be as exciting a day as it had promised.
The morning's talks by Will Lamb, Mike Katz and David Taylor were stimulating and entertaining; a full report will be included in the December issue of Common Stock. The afternoon's entertainment consisted of performances on pipes and fiddle by a remarkable line-up of players assembled by Hamish Moore. Recordings and videos are now being edited [currently around 15GB of files!]
Here for starters is a William Dixon tune given a 21st century make-over by Callum Armstrong and Pete Stewart.

LBPS Development Grants
Applications are invited for the Spring 2013 award of the LBPS development grants. Thes grants were introduced in the spring of 2012 for the financial support of projects which will advance the Society’s aims, viz. the promotion of Lowland / Border music and the playing of cauld wind pipes. Awards will be considered on April 13th and should be submitted to arrive by Friday, March 29th
