The Notes in their place

The challenge for me with all these tunes is to get the notes in exactly the right place; nowhere is the problem more obvious than when a run of five notes occurs as it does in the 2nd strain of Glenn's setting. I'm also intrigued by the different ways in which these two settings are graced, and the rhythmic effects the different arrangements have. My approach has been to treat the tune as essentially a [northumbrian-style] rant, but there are some subtleties revealed by these different gracings that would probably yield some worthwhile insights. I'll try recording some of these variants...
