Tune of the Month Music

September's tune is 'Cuddy Claw'd Her' -

there is a setting from Wm Dixon's Manuscript in The Master Piper and another in Peacock. Here is an early Scottish setting, fropm the George Bowie fiddle manuscript, dated 1705; most of the msuic in this manuscript seems to be the work of Edinburgh violinist James Maclachlan.  A transcription of this setting was originally published in the first edition of The Master PIper but was omitted in the latest edition. This transciprtion is by Pete Stewart.
