One of an occasional series of masterworks of the Lowland and Borders piping tradition

Settings of this tune (Lasses Pisses Brandy, Lasses Bushes Brawly’ etc.) exist from both Scottish and Northumbrian traditions, but this one, from David Young’s McFarlane manuscript (1740) takes the simple tune to a different dimension.
