LBPS online tune session 24th February 2022

We are delighted to invite members to an online tune session on Thursday 24^th February at 7.30 pm.

Making the Graceless Gracefull (sic)

Fin Moore, well-known pipe maker and player from Perthshire, will lead the next online session on Thursday 24th February from 7.30 pm via Zoom.

He'll look at a couple of fairly well-known tunes, Hackey Honey (Dixon) and Brose & Butter (Blue Book), and also Catriona's Welcome by Gary West. He will explore what to do when faced with a manuscript that has no gracenotes, what kind of gracings would be most suitable/effective for making the tune musical, along with some observations about gracing in general.

All members will receive a Zoom link to the event by email.
